Marketing Experience

Marketing and sales promotion have been an integral part of my business life for the past twenty five years and have provided a perfect outlet for my creative abilities as I have developed successful campaigns above and below the line. Over that period I am proud to have built two very different iconic brands in Johansens and Bargain Pages. My areas of marketing expertise encompass:

• Developing multi-media consumer marketing campaigns to sell everything from hotel guides and bed nights to event tickets online, using the full marketing mix, including television, radio, national press, consumer and business magazines, plus digital online marketing channels and social media.

• Adept at database building and mining, broadcasting eshots and direct mail campaigns by post and developing customer retention programmes.

• Capable of building and implementing effective online and digital marketing campaigns using PPC and so on.

• Ability to build long and lasting customer relationships.

• Confident appointing third parties (mailing houses, book and magazine distributors, web agencies) and working with them to achieve excellent results. 

• Experienced in creating promotions with third party brands to deliver tangible results both in the B2B and B2C sectors.

• Able to develop and implement launch strategies to bring new products and services to market.

• Experienced in conducting market research and developing customer questionnaires, eg. after show surveys to understand how good the customer and exhibitor experience was enabling future improvements to be made.
 
• Ability to write good copy and to create eye catching promotional material in conjunction with a graphic designer.

• Creating, writing and circulating PR campaigns.
